Flower petals are swirling in the gentle breeze. They land daintily on the surface of the pristine pond, and create little ripples on the crystal clear spring water.
Sylvia had requested for her dress to look really pretty, and what better way to do it than to reflect the scene of beautiful flower petals floating gently on water? If you look closely, you will realize that you are looking at not one, but three layers of details on the bodice, much like peering into a clear garden pond. The first would be the backdrop of duchess satin, a smooth background to accentuate the details of the dress.
The second is a layer of delicate Japanese lace, and the third, a masterpiece of details. On the third layer, twirling tendrils were meticulously hand embroidered to complement the 3d flowers. Japanese beads, pearls and Swarovski crystals dance in harmony on this beautiful piece, enhancing its overall texture. Full Japanese lace was used to create a halo-like effect for the hem of the skirt, much like a ripple on the water surface, completing the piece with a touch of surrealism.
